Day 1 – Arrive in Hoedspruit. Private overland transfer to camp included
Evening Game Drive + Welcome Dinner
Typical Day:
6am: Wake to beating drums and a quick coffee/tea before heading out on a morning game drive
9am – Return for a well earned breakfast buffet
Pre Lunch Lectures – Laid Back – elephant interruptions possible

This CE retreat is perfect for the adventurous solo traveler, colleagues and couples alike! And it doesn’t have to break the bank. We’ve made this possible by partnering directly with an amazing pristine camp in the bush of Africa near Kruger National Park, rather than contracting with a tour company, and offering spots on a shared basis – 2 people per tent! If you’re traveling with a partner or friend (vet or not) – perfect! If traveling solo, we’ll pair you up with another attendee of the same sex.
This retreat will be truly intimate – only 26 spots are available- and is perfect for the adventurous soul. You’ll fall asleep to the sound of wildlife in the night, catch the elephants passing by the pool for a sip of water, and spot the Big 5 on daily game drives into the park.
Our retreat takes place in the impressive Manyeleti Private Game Reserve just next to Kruger National Park – a Big 5 area!! It actually shares an unfenced border with the park so there is free movement of wildlife. You’ll be staying in luxury canvas tents which include raised decks, a private bath, full beds with canopy nets, as well as a communal dining area and pool.

Everyone in the veterinary community! Our world class continuing education is targeted to veterinarians and technicians but anyone from reception to kennel techs and students are welcome to attend.
This retreat is perfect for couples and solo travelers alike! If you are traveling solo, we can pair you with a roomie!
Non Vet-Med guests are absolutely welcome! The All Inclusive price per person applies.
Unfortunately this year the camp has moved to a 12 year old and up policy, so no children under 12 years allowed.
To reserve your spot, a $500 non refundable deposit is due.
Due to the extended travel planning to South Africa and small group size, refunds and transfers are NOT available for this retreat after April 1, 2027.
In the event of a cancellation prior to April 1, 2027, the $500 deposit is non refundable, and a 5% fee is incurred on any additional payments made.
Traveling Vet Retreats is not responsible for travel delays, illness, personal emergencies etc. For this reason, we highly recommend purchasing a trip insurance at the time of your booking to cover your costs in case of a cancellation..
