Dr. Arielle Pechette Markley is the Director of Research at Red Sage Integrative Veterinary Partners and a board-certified Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation (DACVSMR). She earned her DVM from Colorado State University, where she also became certified in veterinary acupuncture. She went on to earn certifications as a Certified Veterinary Pain Practitioner (CVPP) and a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Therapist (CCRT).
Dr. Pechette Markley later founded a sports medicine and rehabilitation practice in
Indianapolis, Indiana, before joining The Ohio State University in 2018, where she helped establish and grow their Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation service. She completed her ACVSMR residency in 2022 and has since focused her academic and clinical work on advancing canine sports medicine. Her research centers on injury risk factors, sport-specific biomechanics, and performance optimization in canine athletes, particularly agility dogs. Christina Marino
DVM, DACVIM
Dr. Marino received her veterinary degree from The Ohio State University and is an avid Buckeye (O-H!). After veterinary school, she completed a small animal rotating internship at North Carolina State University, followed by a small animal internal medicine residency at the University of Pennsylvania. She completed the Hemodialysis Academy through UC Davis during her residency and is well-experienced in hemodialysis and other extracorporeal therapies. In 2016, she became a board certified Small Animal Internist by the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine. She has worked for multiple specialty hospitals as an internist and ultrasonographer, as well as at general and emergency practices as a wellness and emergency veterinarian. She started her own mobile business in 2017, Small Animal Veterinary Specialists, providing mobile internal medicine consultations and diagnostics to general and emergency practices in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and New York City. She recently joined the team as an Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine at the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine in 2024. She has lectured locally for general and emergency practices, as well as state veterinary medical conferences. She has published many scientific papers and is actively researching thyroid disease in dogs and iron metabolism in cats. While she likes all things in veterinary medicine, including surgery, her passion lies with feline medicine, bone marrow diseases, intestinal dysbiosis, and anything with the kidneys. When not in the clinic, she enjoys spending time with her husband and their 3 cats, cooking, playing competitive video games with her husband, and watching anything that will make her laugh.
