Kursten Pierce
DVM, DACVIM
Dr. Pierce is currently an Assistant Professor in Cardiology at North Carolina State University. Following her cardiology residency at Tufts University she completed a two-year fellowship in interventional cardiology at Colorado State University. Her interests include teaching, the diagnosis and management of congenital heart disease, exotics cardiology, cardiac biomarkers, and minimally-invasive fluoroscopically guided interventions.

Sarah Ozawa
DVM, DACZM
Dr. Ozawa received her veterinary degree from the University of Wisconsin. Following graduation, she completed a small animal rotating internship at the University of Tennessee and then an ACZM residency in zoological companion animal medicine at the University of California, Davis. She became board certified by the American College of Zoological Medicine in 2020. She is currently a Clinical Assistant Professor at North Carolina State University. Her research interests include small mammal therapeutics and cardiovascular disease.

Hanging Bridges Tour
Travel to the heart of the rainforest in a circuit of 2 miles (3.2km) and 15 bridges, you will have the opportunity to observe many bird species, 3 types of monkeys, land mammals, different types of snakes, amphibians and one of the richest biodiversity on the planet.
