Exotic Animal Medicine

Dr Ozawa received her veterinary degree from the University of Wisconsin. Following graduation, she completed a small animal rotating internship at the University of Tennessee and then an ACZM residency in zoological companion animal medicine at the University of California, Davis. She became board certified by the American College of Zoological Medicine in 2020. She is currently a Clinical Assistant Professor at North Carolina State University. Her research interests include small mammal therapeutics and cardiovascular disease.

Dr. Marie Keith grew up all over the United States including in the San Francisco Bay Area, rural Kansas and the Washington, DC area. She then went to college at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, where she majored in Biological Sciences and minored in Global Health Studies and Classical Studies. She attended veterinary school at Kansas State University; fascinated by the intersection of human and animal health, particularly in infectious diseases, she pursued a concurrent Masters in Public Health. After obtaining her veterinary degree, she completed a one year internship followed by a three year residency in Emergency and Critical Care Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. Since finishing her residency,
she has been working as a criticalist at a large emergency and specialty hospital in Los Angeles, California. Dr. Keith’s professional interests include sepsis, coagulation, transfusion medicine and the post-operative care of critically ill patients. Outside of the hospital, Dr. Keith enjoys hiking all over the world, playing her cello, boxing, and hanging out with her cats, Lily and Linus.

Registration cancellations are available up to 60 days prior to the start of the conference. $150 of the course registration is nonrefundable in the event of any cancellation. Within 60 days of the conference, refunds are not available, but you may transfer your registration to a future conference up to 30 days prior to the start of the conference. Transfers must be used within 1 year, or funds are forfeited. Within 30 days, or if you fail to attend after the start of the conference, no transfers are available and you will forfeit the registration cost.
